Rasûlullâh Sallallâhu Alayhi Wa Sallam said: “Had the people known about the virtue of calling the Adhan and standing in the first Saff (row) for Salah and found no other way than drawing lots to do that, they would surely do that.” (Muttafaqun Alayhi)
Rasûlullâh Sallallâhu Alayhi Wa Sallam said:
“When you hear the muazzin, repeat what he recites and send Salawat (blessings) upon me. Whoever recites Salawat upon me once, Allâh Ta‘âlâ will bless him with His Mercy ten times. Then ask Allah to grant me al-Wasilah, a rank in Jannah (paradise) that only one of Allah’s believing servants attain. And I hope that I will be the one. Whoever asks al-Wasilah for me, will be entitled to my shafaah (intercession).”
In another occasion, Rasûlullâh Sallallâhu Alayhi Wa Sallam said: “He who recites this dua (supplication) after hearing the Athan, will be entitled to my shafaah (intercession) on the Day of Judgment:
“Allâhumma Rabba hâdhihi’d-da’wa ti’t-tâmmah, was’salât’il-qâ’imah. Âti Muhammad’an’il-wasîlata wa’lfadhîlata, wab’ath’hu Maqâman Mahmûdan-illadhiwa’adtah.
In’naka lâ tukh’liful’mî’âd”
Translation: “O Allâh! The Master of this perfect call and of this Salâh to be established, grant to Muhammad Sallallâhu Alayhi Wa Sallam the favour of Wasîlah (a high place in
Jannah) and fadhîlah (excellence). And elevate him to Maqâm Al-Mahmûd (the praised station) that You have promised him. Without any doubt You never break Your promise”.
